Is my review really anonymous?
Yes. We never display your name or email, we separate your account data from your published review, and we generalise details that could identify you. We will not tell an employer, journalist or anyone else who wrote a review.
How long until my review is published?
Every submission passes automated screening and human review first. Most reviews are approved within twenty-four hours. You can watch the status move from Under Review to Published on your dashboard.
Why was my review declined?
We decline reviews that name private individuals, describe things you did not experience directly, state unproven accusations as fact, or contain confidential business information. If we decline yours we tell you which rule it fell under and let you revise and resubmit.
Can an employer find out who I am?
No. Employers cannot see who wrote a review and cannot ask us. Filing a dispute never reveals the reviewer, and any attempt to identify or retaliate against a reviewer results in permanent loss of platform access.
Can I edit or delete my review?
You can request changes or removal of your own reviews. Note that deleting your account does not automatically remove reviews you published, since they form part of a public record others rely on. You can request that separately.
Can employers pay to remove bad reviews?
No. Employers cannot pay to change a score, suppress a ranking or remove negative content. There is no version of this product where money changes what an employee wrote. A negative review is never removed simply for being negative.
What can I write about?
Your own first-hand experience of an employer you worked for, as an employee or contractor. Describe situations and patterns rather than named people, and state opinions clearly as your experience. Specific, dated accounts are the most useful and the most durable.
What happens if I report a review?
Reports are acknowledged and triaged within two business days. We may remove content that clearly breaks policy, restrict visibility while we investigate serious cases, or take no action and explain why. Report reviews that break the rules, not ones you simply disagree with.
How are ratings and rankings calculated?
Scores are trailing twenty-four month averages, calculated the same way for every employer. To appear in a ranking an employer needs at least one hundred reviews, and red flags only appear when several people report the same issue independently.
Do I have to create an account?
You can read and compare employers freely. You need a lightweight account to submit a review or mark reviews helpful, so we can protect against abuse and let you track your submissions.
